Responsibilities
- Supporting site assessments/remediation, hydrogeology, and environmental risk management studies and services in both the field and office
- Supporting engineering remediation system design including vapor intrusion mitigation systems (VIMS) and other soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation systems
- Conducting environmental due diligence and environmental site assessments for real estate property transactions
- Preparing accurate and high-quality technical reports, correspondence, proposals, and cost estimates
- Collecting environmental data in simple to complex field situations with limited supervision
- Reviewing and evaluating complex data and integrate data evaluations into reports
- Contacting vendors and researching literature and regulatory requirements
- Organizing and conducting field work independently or as part of a team
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university in geology, engineering, or related scientific field
- 0 to 4 years of consulting experience in Oregon and/or Washington
- Operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Teams)
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification and OSHA 8-hour Supervisor Training preferred but not required
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare reports and proposals
- Excellent writing and technical analytical skills
- Ability to effectively work on project teams
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must have insured transportation for site visits and meetings.
- Some overnight travel required both in and out of state.
- Must be available to work outside of normal working hours, if necessary.
