We're looking for a Staff Product Test Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX! You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our production test solutions. This is a hands-on engineering position responsible for the design and implementation of high-performance hardware and software to test innovative mixed-signal products including audio codecs, haptics/sensing ICs, and audio power amplifiers for automotive applications.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation and deployment of next-generation production test solutions
- Design sophisticated mixed-signal ATE board schematics, oversee all aspects of PCB layouts, and lead test hardware debug and release-to-mass-production
- Collaborate regularly with IC design engineers, validation engineers, and various other teams
- Join in cross-functional team meetings to resolve complex device debug and production issues
- Test program software development from pre-silicon through production release
- Interpret datasheet specs and trim requirements to create appropriate ATE hardware
- Participate in yield improvement activities and cost reduction projects
- Provide customer return support
- Document test procedures and methodologies
Required Skills and Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering and 7+ years of semiconductor test engineering experience
- Capability to create, debug, edit, release and own all aspects of an ATE test program
- Capability to design, debug, and deploy complex mixed-signal test hardware
- Previous experience as lead PTE on an automotive product from inception through production release
- Understanding of tri-temperature testing and the temperature insertion elimination processes
- Extensive understanding of IP characterization and resulting data analysis
- Broad expertise of various circuit blocks and topologies, such as ADCs, DACs, PLLs, amplifiers, charge pumps, and common digital communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, SPMI, I2S, and TDM
- Strong problem-solving and debug skills
- Ability to work to, and deliver upon, tight time schedules
- Solid communication skills and adeptness working in a multi-functional engineering team
- Data and yield analysis skills using tools such as Spotfire, JMP, Syntricity, Excel
