Job Description

As a Staff QA Engineer at Celigo, you will design, install, and evaluate quality control methods and systems for application integration. You will perform functional and automation testing, develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance and methods, and contribute to ongoing automation. You will also lead testing activities including the delivery of test strategies, plans, execution, and status updates to various stakeholders, and contribute to automation through development of new test scripts and suite execution. You will be involved in customer escalations and mentoring junior QA engineers. This role requires strong product knowledge, the ability to lead and mentor, and ensure adherence to team standards, with a focus on providing quality software.
Must have:
  • Hands-on with product knowledge; test case development & execution.
  • Lead testing activities, including test strategy & plan delivery.
  • Contribute to automation via test script & suite development.
  • API & Microservices Testing & CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong team player and voice of the QA team
  • B.E/B.Tech (any relevant background)
Good to have:
  • Knowledge on any ERP like NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Exposure to REST API automation & UI automation
  • Experience in Agile Scrum methodology or CSTE/CSQA/ISTQB certification
  • Experience in working on Cloud applications or SaaS products

Scope of Role
As a member of the Product QA division -  

  • You will design, install and evaluate quality control methods and systems. 
  • Perform functional & automation testing. 
  • Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance and methods.
  • Contribute towards ongoing automation.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Should be hands-on with the product knowledge and should participate in test case development and test execution.
  • Should lead testing activities, which include delivery of test strategy, test plan, test execution and test status to different stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Contribute to automation through development of new test scripts & suite execution.
  • Work with the Customer Success team on customer escalations and the overall process to provide the right guidance both to internal & external stakeholders.
  • Successfully multi-tasks across products/projects and on non-project assignments, by delivering on time. 
  • Lead a minimum of 3-4 QA engineers from a technical perspective.
  • Should be a process gatekeeper to ensure that the team adheres to the standards and should highlight deviations if any.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to junior folks.

  • API & Microservices Testing, Testing API Gateways and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Ability to dive deep & focus on the details.
  • Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Great passion for delivering quality software.

 

Qualification

  • B.E/B.Tech (any relevant background)
  • 7-10 years of overall experience.
  • Solid knowledge of the quality assurance techniques, testing concepts, methodologies, test management tools and software testing processes. Experience with Jira, TestRail, Postman is highly desirable
  • Experience in API/Microservices Testing/Contract testing (must have).
  • Knowledge on any ERP like NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics  CRM like Salesforce (Good to have).
  • Exposure to REST API automation (must), UI automation (Good to have) 
  • Experience in Agile Scrum methodology or CSTE/CSQA/ISTQB certification is good to have.
  • Experience in working on Cloud applications or SaaS products is good to have.
