Job Description

Google's Core team seeks a Staff Software Engineer for Access Intelligence in São Paulo, Brazil. This role requires 8+ years of software development experience (Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript), 5+ years in testing and launching products, and 3+ years in software design and architecture. Responsibilities involve technical leadership on high-impact projects, coaching engineers, managing project deliverables, and designing/developing large-scale software solutions. Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: security, privacy, identity, identity access management (IAM), or compliance.
  • Experience in security testing, authentication, access controls and privacy.
