About the Company

Frameplay is the global leader for intrinsic in-game advertising, headquartered in San Francisco, California. We are a passionate group of gamers, designers, and advertising experts. Join our mission to enable game developers to place advertising easily and intrinsically within video game environments, without interfering with, or degrading the gameplay performance or experience. Frameplay provides growth and personal development opportunities, whilst working with revolutionary technologies in the gaming and AdTech space.

About the Role

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will work on projects critical to Frameplay’s needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. Your strong background in AdTech will enable you to accelerate development of any solution.

As an experienced software engineer, you apply your technical expertise to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. You are a generalist first, and even though recently you may have been more focused on a specific backend technology or infrastructure, you’re ready to jump into a different part of the fun and complex world of full-stack software development.

You also don't shy away from personal responsibility, are open to divergence of opinion, can explain technical topics in a more easily digestible form, and are excited that we are looking for a team player (because that's just who you are!).

Role Responsibilities

  • Focus on high-impact projects, especially for new, greenfield development.
  • Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions in AdTech.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience testing, and launching software products in a full-stack role, and 2 years of experience with software design and architecture in AdTech.
  • Proficiency with at least one statically typed language, preferably Golang.

What You Can Expect

  • We're flat ... our org structure, that is! This means you won't have to deal with a ton of middle management, and will always be able to get in touch with our leadership.
  • You'll receive a wholesome benefits package, and the opportunity to work in a flexible environment with a smart group of talented people
  • Do you like playing video games? As do we, so get ready for many fun gaming sessions together!
