Job Description

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in building the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. The Core team develops the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent user experiences, driving innovation across Google's products. You will work on high-impact projects, collaborate on roadmap planning, manage project priorities, and ensure timely delivery of deliverables. You will also partner with infrastructure and client teams to guide integrations. You will have the opportunity to manage a small team, review designs and codes for quality, and contribute to the overall technical direction of Google's core infrastructure.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience in software development
Experience with data structures and algorithms
5 years of experience testing and launching software products
3 years of experience with software design and architecture
Experience developing software applications using C++
Experience with object-oriented programming, templates, and STL

Good to have:

Experience in developing backend, infrastructure-oriented systems
Strong cross-functional team collaboration skills
Experience coordinating work between diverse partners

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Experience developing software applications using the C++ programming language.
Experience with object-oriented programming, templates, and the Standard Template Library (STL).

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in developing backend, infrastructure-oriented systems.
Strong cross-functional team collaboration skills and coordinating work between a diverse set of partners.
