Stage Ingénieur : Développement de firmware de test et science des données pour l'ingénierie produit F/M

• Bac +5, avant-dernière ou dernière année d’école d’ingénieur en électronique. 

• Connaissances en développement de firmware embarqué, analyse exploratoire des données, et implémentation d’algorithmes statistiques. Vous avez déjà réalisé un projet utilisant Python 3 et êtes familier de son utilisation pour du traitement de données. Vous avez déjà travaillé sur une base de code en C dans le domaine de l’embarqué et connaissez bien les contraintes et particularités qui lui sont propre. 

• Des connaissances en microélectronique et analyse de distributions multimodales sont un plus. 

• Un très bon niveau d’anglais technique est exigé, l’équipe est internationale et l’utilise pour toute communication. Toutes les documentations existantes et à produire seront également en anglais.

The Secure Connected Edge Business Line, based in France in Caen and Mougins, as well as in Austria, United States, and Asia, is responsible for the design of integrated circuits for the mobile phone and connected watch markets.

Our teams design microelectronic chips for contactless communication using Near Field Communication (NFC) and Ultra-WideBand (UWB) technologies.

We are recruiting an intern for a duration of 4 to 6 months to develop the endurance testing and data analysis tools used to qualify the integrated circuits produced and tested at industrial scale. In order to ensure the longevity of the components, comprehensive aging tests are deployed.

The configuration and analysis of these tests is a crucial challenge to maximize industrial performance and minimize the time required to identify and resolve unforeseen issues. Within a team of product engineers (PE) from diverse backgrounds with complementary skills, experts in both analog and digital microelectronics as well as exploratory data analysis, this internship offers a complete immersion in a cutting-edge technological field with major geopolitical stakes. 

Your missions

You will be responsible for developing a test firmware that handles the configuration of registers and bit fields for endurance testing, as well as for creating a pre-processing pipeline for the collected test data prior to its statistical analysis. The existing test firmware is written in C, and you will be asked to extend its functionalities to allow for greater modularity. The data p pre-processing pipeline will need to be developed entirely in Python using Pandas, and it will be integrated as a module into the statistical analysis tools currently used by the team. You will need to communicate frequently with product engineers in Europe and Asia to implement a solution that meets their needs. 

Your profile

• Master's degree (Bac +5), in the penultimate or final year of an engineering school in electronics. 

• Knowledge in embedded firmware development, exploratory data analysis, and implementation of statistical algorithms. You have already completed a project using Python 3 and are familiar with its use for data processing. You have worked on a codebase in C in the embedded field and are well aware of the constraints and specificities that come with it. 

• Knowledge in microelectronics and analysis of multimodal distributions is a plus. 

• A very good level of technical English is required, as the team is international and uses it for all communication. All existing and future documentation will also be in English.
