Strategic Planning Analyst – Video

We’re excited to partner with a global technology leader to hire a Strategic Planning Analyst - Video for a 12-month contract opportunity. This role is based in Culver City, CA, with a hybrid work schedule. As a Strategic Planning Analyst - Video, you will play a key role in helping drive growth initiatives, monitor business performance, and provide insights for executive-level decision-making. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, track key business metrics, and contribute to the development of strategic plans aimed at growing the subscription business in the video streaming space.

Responsibilities:

• Growth Projects: Research and model potential opportunities for business expansion, focusing on the subscription video business. Create business cases and presentations to support these initiatives.
• Performance Tracking: Analyze retention metrics and other key business indicators. Work with data teams and finance to forecast and enhance business outcomes.
• Executive Communication: Update and refine presentations and materials for executive-level business reviews.
• Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor movements, and shifts in the streaming video market.
• General Support: Assist the Senior Director with ad-hoc tasks and strategic projects as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
• Subscription Business Knowledge: Familiarity with subscription services, including funnel metrics (customer signup journey) and pricing strategies.
• Technical Tools: Proficiency in Keynote/PowerPoint and Excel (intermediate to advanced level) for presentations and data analysis.
• Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain complex data and strategic concepts to diverse audiences.
• Work Style: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with shifting priorities. Able to work independently and handle ambiguity.
• Curiosity & Innovation: Passion for identifying new opportunities and continuously improving processes.
• Passion for Video Content: A genuine interest in movies, series, and video content, beyond personal taste.

Ideal Background:

• Experience in strategy, finance, data, or analytics-focused roles, ideally within the video, entertainment, or subscription business sectors.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills to support strategic decision-making.
• A passion for the streaming industry and a desire to contribute to its growth.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Data Science).
• 5+ years of experience in strategy, finance, or data analytics roles, with a focus on business growth and performance tracking.

To qualify for our benefits package, candidates must work over 30 hours per week, and assignments must last a minimum of 10 weeks.
