The Strategy & Operations Manager for China will be responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy for Moloco's China business. This includes identifying market opportunities, developing strategic initiatives, and collaborating with regional leadership to achieve growth targets. The role involves program management, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with the global GTM team. The ideal candidate will provide guidance to the commercial leadership team to ensure the organization’s business operations are properly run at regional levels. They will also work to improve commercial team’s volume and velocity by building insights tools. This role requires a deep understanding of the regional market and customers, along with strategic acumen for market success and scalability. Must have:
  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • 3+ years of quantitative analysis/ BI experience in tech, finance, marketing, consulting or similar
  • Proven track record of driving top line growth
  • Ability to challenge and persuade cross-functional audiences to act
  • Expertise in working with large datasets with strong spreadsheet and database query knowledge (e.g. Excel, SQL)
  • Knowledge of mobile gaming & app ecosystem and/ or performance marketing
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in English and Mandarin
Good to have:
  • Strategy Consulting or Sales Operations experience
  • Past experience creating easy-to-use, actionable dashboards, reports and tools (e.g. Looker/ Looker studio/ Tableau)

The Impact You’ll Be Contributing to Moloco: 

The GTM team at Moloco defines, designs, and executes on the commercial strategy for the company. The team is responsible for identifying, sizing, and segmenting the opportunity, determining how our sales and business development teams go after it, and enabling them to be successful at doing so. We are looking for a GTM Strategy Ops Manager to drive our China business. As a trusted partner of regional leaders, this role is instrumental in steering the commercial strategy and operations for Moloco’s China business, a growth engine for the company. Success for this role will come in four core areas:

  • Build a growth strategy with strategic initiatives based on market insights by understanding regional market landscape, competition, and customer behaviors. 
  • Partner with regional leadership, prioritize important strategic initiatives, and drive commercial organization to execute and achieve the goal as a program manager  
  • Provide guidance and lead the commercial leadership team to make sure the  organization’s business operations are properly run at regional levels   
  • Collaborate with the global GTM team (Design, Analytics, Sales Activation, Product Specialist, Partnership) to support and drive the design and execution of multiple initiatives and programs  

 

The Opportunity: 

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled program manager with a strong background in analysis and execution, coupled with a passion for strategic thinking. This individual can effectively take a broad view, integrate diverse viewpoints, and facilitate decisive action. They are adept at extracting actionable insights from complex data, developing and testing hypotheses in uncertain environments, and crafting compelling narratives to drive commercial outcomes. This role involves close collaboration with regional commercial teams and global Go-to-Market partners to advance global and regional initiatives, ultimately contributing to Moloco's revenue growth. The successful candidate will possess a growth-oriented mindset and thrive in cross-functional environments, creating tangible value. A deep understanding of the regional market and customers, along with strategic acumen for market success and scalability, is essential.

  • Support leadership team’s decision-making on business challenges with strategic and problem-solving capabilities
  • Manage and drive the execution of various global and regional level strategic initiatives and programs with the leadership team
  • Engage with different business operations by supporting regional leaders to align with global GTM policy and processes
  • Improve commercial team’s volume and velocity by building insights tools
  • Closely interact with the regional commercial team to identify operational challenges, define improvement initiatives, and work with global GTM teams to solve those challenges
  • Develop market insights and winning strategy with regional leadership team, and mobilize initiatives

 

How Do I Know if the Role is Right For Me? 

  • 8+ years of professional experience, with 3+ years of quantitative analysis/ BI experience in tech, finance, marketing, consulting or similar
  • Proven track record of driving top line growth via strategic initiatives in a global, fast-paced, B2B sales setting
  • Ability to challenge and persuade cross-functional audiences to act - from peers around the org to senior executives
  • Expertise in working with large datasets, with strong spreadsheet and database query knowledge (e.g. Excel, SQL)
  • Knowledge of mobile gaming & app ecosystem and/ or performance marketing
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high integrity
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in English and Mandarin
  • Bonus points:
