We’re seeking an intern on our SPICE Modeling team to test chip design, conduct device characterization, and strengthen your Spice modeling background. In this position, you will be responsible formaintaining device lab equipment functions, performing a wide range of device characterization activities, and generating Spice models for custom devices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Actively pursuing a Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering / Physics (or similar engineering disciplines)
Fundamental understanding of semiconductor device physics related to Analog device performance
Experience in submicron CMOS and BCD device measurement and characterization with parametric analyzer, LCR meter, etc.
Familiar with active and passive semiconductor device behavior in CMOS technologies
Understanding of semiconductor device noise and matching behaviors
Programming skills in Python/Perl/C++
Excellent verbal communication skills and technical report writing skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Experience running simulations using Cadence ADE
Knowledge in test structure layouts for various technology nodes, including advanced CMOS and BCD/HV for Analog or Mixed-Signal products
This position will be located in Austin, Texas. The internship will be onsite. This opportunity is available for the summer semester only. It is available only to students currently enrolled in a MS or PhD program in Electrical Engineering maintaining a GPA of 3.6 or above, and who will be returning to school for at least one semester following completion of his/her internship. Candidate must be available for full-time employment during the internship.
