McDonald's is seeking a Supervisor Cyber Security Compliance Engineer. This role involves coding and analytical problem-solving for enhancing risk management processes. Responsibilities include developing automated solutions using coding languages like Python and SQL to streamline tasks and improve risk reporting. The role also involves analyzing data, designing dashboards, and collaborating with teams to improve regulatory and controls environments. The role requires identifying process improvements using automation, documenting coding projects and ensuring coding practices align with data security standards. The position includes mentorship and training to team members and also working with internal and external auditors. Strong leadership is essential for overseeing compliance with policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and industry standards in these critical initiatives.
Must have:
  • Experience with Python, C++, or similar languages.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) systems.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments, ERP and system integration.
Good to have:
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and technical aptitude.
  • Proficient in coding and automation.
  • Analytical mentality with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Mongo database management a plus.
  • Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance frameworks is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Description

McDonald’s, one of the most recognized brands in the world, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented individual to join our Cyber Security Compliance team as a supervisor. This role emphasizes coding expertise and analytical problem-solving, providing critical support for the design, development, and maintenance of systems and tools that enhance our risk management processes. Experience in the "Big 4" consulting firms is highly valued as it demonstrates a solid understanding of operational excellence and collaborative teamwork. Prior compliance or audit experience is not required. The role will automate manual compliance processes.

This position will work with the Global Technology teams to improve the regulatory and controls environment though education, identification and implementation of control improvements. This includes recommending control design and operating effectiveness improvements. The position will include working with internal and external auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply coding skills (e.g., Python, SQL, or other programming languages) to build automated solutions for improving risk reporting, governance processes, and compliance-related tasks. This includes designing, testing, and deploying scripts or applications to streamline repetitive tasks.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improving risk management practices. Apply advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to uncover actionable insights.
  • Design, build, and optimize interactive dashboards, visualizations, reporting tools, and analytics platforms to enhance transparency and support data-driven decision-making across departments.
  • Work closely with multi-functional teams, such as IT, Finance, and Operations, to collect project requirements, overcome technical obstacles, and offer scalable solutions in line with governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify and implement innovative process improvements to improve operational efficiency by bringing to bear automation and coding to reduce manual workflows, decrease processing time, and minimize errors.
  • Document coding projects and system improvements accurately, including technical specifications, user guides, and change logs, to ensure continuity.
  • Support the identification and quantification of risks by developing and maintaining technical tools such as risk assessment models, simulation frameworks, or predictive analytics systems.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, programming tools, and trends that could improve processes and recommend their integration where relevant.
  • Offer technical mentorship and training to team members or collaborators on the use of developed tools, dashboards, or automated systems.
  • Ensure coding practices align with organizational standards for data security, accuracy, and compliance with relevant regulations or policies.

The expected salary range for this role is $98,140 – $125,130 per year

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience with languages like Python, C++, or similar languages.
  • Understanding and experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) systems.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments, ERP and system integration (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Experience: 2-3 years in control system programming and assessment.

Desired skills

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and technical aptitude.
  • Proficient in coding and automation.
  • Analytical mentality with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Mongo database management a plus
