About the role
We are looking for a Sustainability Programme Manager to join the Sustainability team and drive the delivery of Haleon’s environmental and health inclusivity commitments.
Part of Haleon’s corporate Sustainability team, reporting into the Sustainability Programme Director, the Sustainability Programme Manager role is responsible for providing high-quality programme management expertise in a fast-paced environment to drive delivery of Haleon’s environmental and health inclusivity commitments. Working closely with the Haleon Sustainability lead team, you will ensure the team is operating with discipline, help the team ruthlessly prioritise, and embed practical ways to effectively deliver our goals.
Key responsibilities
Managing and maintaining the end to end plan to support 2025 ESG Reporting and readiness for increased requirements for ESG reporting in 2026.
Supporting project management for the delivery of our 2025 and 2030 sustainability commitments.
Managing the regular progress reporting tools and processes within the Sustainability team and to management to track progress versus plan.
Proactively flagging any risks or concerns to the Programme Director with proposed solutions.
Managing the Sustainability team budget, including effective monitoring and governance.
Effectively coordinating key deliverables that require input from across the Sustainability team, including quarterly reporting for delivery of the Responsible Business Scorecard.
Managing interdependencies of the strategy and delivery plan with a focus on how they impact both the Sustainability team as well as teams across the wider organisation.
Continuously improve the teams’ effectiveness and ways of working, identifying what is working and not working and adjusting accordingly.
Qualifications and skills
Essential
Demonstrated programme management on a global scale.
In-depth knowledge and experience of using project and programme management principles and processes.
A track record of translating objectives into key results and tracking progress through metrics and targets.
Evidenced ability to manage and execute against several critical objectives and achieving these through others.
Collaborative and relationship-oriented approach to driving action within the team.
Preferred
Previous work on sustainability or reporting would be an advantage but is not a must.
Learning agility and ability to solve complex problems with limited oversight.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Excellent communication, promotional, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
Strong attention to detail.
