Job Description

The System and Hardware Enabling Engineer will work with customers to integrate Intel products, assist sales and engineering teams in product design and development, troubleshoot issues, build customer demonstrations, provide training, and influence engineering and product design teams. The role involves working within a global organization and participating in projects such as new product development and competitive analysis. The engineer will be involved in designing and supporting computer platforms for a wide range of next-generation Intel products supporting major European customers. The candidate will be part of a team specializing in the design and support of computer platforms for various Intel products.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electronic Engineering.
  • 2-3 years of experience in technical designs or supporting.
  • Demonstrable electronic debug skills.
  • Technical knowledge of x86 PC Architecture.
  • Electronic design skills and understanding of trade-offs.
  • Experience with computer interfaces (PCIe, USB).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • High-quality customer support track record.
  • Ability to work in a team and take initiative.
Good to have:
  • Experience and knowledge of the embedded market.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment.
  • Knowledge of assembly language (X86), C/C++, or hardware verification languages.
  • PCB rework/soldering experience with SMD components.
  • Fluency in other European languages.

We're looking for someone who has a keen interest in computer hardware (and software) and wants to do hands-on work developing and supporting future computing platforms (including servers, client and graphics), with the ability to grow their knowledge and continuously learn as the role and technology evolve.


The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a team, talk to both our customers and engineers and work through complex problems and innovate. You will be a member of a team which specialises in the design and support of computer platforms (both software/hardware) for a wide range of next-generation Intel products supporting major European customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with customers to help them integrate Intel products into their client and edge systems
  • Working with our sales and engineering teams to enable our customers to design and develop products
  • Troubleshooting with issue replication and debugging
  • Building customer-facing demonstrations and proof of concepts to help customers see the value of Intel technology
  • Providing training to customers and sales teams
  • Working with and influencing engineering and product design teams
  • Working within a global organisation with teams based in multiple time zones

There is an opportunity to get involved in other exciting projects outside of day-to-day responsibilities, such as:

  • Participating in new product development, representing the customers' technical needs, creating competitive analysis from a technical perspective, and developing and presenting technical product training materials and demonstrations

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or similar
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in designing or supporting technical designs (motherboards, systems) in the embedded market segment or Data Center
  • Demonstrable electronic debug skills
  • Demonstrable technical knowledge of x86 PC Architecture
  • Demonstrable Electronic design skills and understanding of system-level engineering trade-offs
  • Experience with computer interfaces PCIe, USB, etc.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Proven track record of providing high-quality customer support
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative, communicate and collaborate effectively
  • Genuine passion for technology and a curiosity to understand how it works, with a hands-on approach

Nice to have:

  • Experience and knowledge of the embedded market segment, especially Internet of Things or Data Center
  • Hands-on experience of electronic test equipment, e.g. DVM, PSU, oscilloscopes and the ability to learn in-house tools
  • Knowledge of assembly language (preferably X86), C/C++ and/or hardware verification languages
  • PCB rework/soldering experience with SMD components
  • Fluency in other European languages
