Wushu Studios seeks a Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their software, hardware, and network infrastructure. Responsibilities include installation and configuration of software and hardware, network and server management, account administration, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, cybersecurity maintenance, and providing second- and third-line support. The role requires strong communication skills and collaboration with various teams. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role, experience with Azure Active Directory, a mixed platform environment (Windows, Linux, macOS), RMM software (e.g., ManageEngine), and cybersecurity tools (e.g., CrowdStrike). Familiarity with ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and experience in the gaming industry are beneficial.

Helping to maintain, upgrade and manage the software, hardware, and network. Reporting to the IT Manager you will enable the smooth operation, planning and development of IT Services across the Studio. You will ensure the effective operation and maintenance of hardware and software, both in the office and remotely, in team members’ homes. Diagnosing and resolving problems efficiently. You will communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users at all levels of seniority within the Studio.

Responsibilities

  • Installation and configuration of software and hardware.
  • Managing networks, servers, and related technology tools.
  • Administering accounts and workstations.
  • Monitoring performance and maintaining systems according to requirements.
  • Troubleshooting issues and outages.
  • Ensuring relevant cyber security provisions and procedures are maintained.
  • Providing second- and third-line support while ensuring that service requests are dealt with efficiently, in a friendly and empathetic manner.
  • Training staff on new technologies.
  • Building and maintenance of technical documentation, manuals and policies.
  • Enabling continuous IT service improvement, analysing performance, identifying opportunities, and suggesting changes.
  • Data Protection responsibilities, duties and training.
  • Undertaking professional development, to assist in up-to-date provision and documentation for IT facilities within the Studio.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, Systems Engineer or similar role.
  • IT related certifications in relevant areas (e.g. CCNP) desirable.
  • Experience managing a Hybrid Azure Active Directory environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a mixed platform environment (Windows, Linux, Mac OS).
  • Detailed knowledge of RMM software (e.g. Manage Engine) and Cyber Security tools (e.g. CrowdStrike).
  • Expert working knowledge of servers, virtualisation, networking and cybersecurity.
  • Prior experience operating within ITSM frameworks (e.g. ITIL).
  • Previous experience in gaming industry is a bonus.
