AnaVation is seeking a highly skilled Systems Architect to design secure, scalable, and mission-critical IT solutions. Key responsibilities include defining high-level architecture, ensuring solutions meet government standards, documenting system architectures, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring compatibility across classified environments. This role requires experience with virtualization, storage, networking, and security components, and developing system and enterprise architecture artifacts.

Must have:

8+ years of experience in enterprise IT architecture.
Experience designing and implementing IT architectures in secure or classified environments.
Experience with virtualization, storage, network, and security components.
Create system documentation and lead modernization efforts.
Expertise in system and enterprise architecture artifacts.
Deep understanding of virtualization, networking, and secure system design.
Familiarity with configuration/change management processes and tools.
Develop project plans, architecture roadmaps, and technical recommendations.

Good to have:

Industry certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect, or Red Hat Certified Architect.

Description of Task to be Performed:

AnaVation is seeking a highly skilled Systems Architect with deep experience designing secure, scalable, and mission-critical IT solutions in classified environments. This role will ensure system architectures align with program objectives for availability, performance, and cybersecurity.

Key responsibilities include:
- Define high-level architecture for systems, networks, and storage.
· Ensure solutions meet government availability, security, and performance standards.
· Document system architectures and lead validation of design decisions.
· Collaborate with stakeholders and other engineering leads to align solutions to mission requirements.
· Ensure compatibility across classified environment

This position is full-time onsite in Washington, DC and cannot be supported remotely.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in systems architecture and engineering is required.
Experience: 8 years
Required Skills/Certs:
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience designing and implementing enterprise IT architectures in secure or classified environments.
Proven experience developing architectural solutions that integrate virtualization, storage, network, and security components.
Experience with VMware, RedHat, Citrix VDI, and cloud/on-prem hybrid environments,
Demonstrated ability to create system documentation, lead modernization efforts, and align solutions with federal standards,
Expertise in developing system and enterprise architecture artifacts, including logical, physical, and data flow diagrams.
Deep understanding of virtualization, networking, and secure system design (Zero Trust, segmentation, PKI, cross-domain solutions).
Familiarity with configuration/change management processes and tools, including ServiceNow and CSAM.
Experience developing project plans, architecture roadmaps, and technical recommendations for government clients.
Required Clearance:
Active Top Secret clearance required. Selected candidates will be required to obtain TS/SCI.

Preferred Qualifications:

Industry certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect, or Red Hat Certified Architect preferred.
