Job Description
The Systems Engineer for A/V Services is responsible for the technical design and implementation of A/V and conferencing solutions used globally by NBCUniversal employees and partners. These solutions will enable the workforce to collaborate in a hybrid work environment.
Specific Solutions Include
- Video Conferencing (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco, Platform Interop)
- Audio/Visual Systems Design and Implementation
- Video and Control (Crestron, QSYS)
- Audio DSP (Biamp, Clearone, QSYS)
- Digital Signage and CMS (Appspace, ANC, Chromebox)
- Room Booking (Condeco, iOffice)
- Lead the implementation, and operation of conferencing solutions with an emphasis on Microsoft Teams Rooms architecture, security, and automated provisioning
- Contribute to the reliability engineering center of excellence including the creation of standard artifacts, best practices, and learning plans
- Participate as a standing member of the engineering review board to evaluate trade studies, approve solution designs, and maintain the overall conferencing services system architecture
- Participate in the weekly agile process to resolve technical impediments and assist in user story definition and sizing
- Research new technologies to improve the conferencing experience
Basic Requirements:
- 5+ years experience designing, implementing, and operating video conference solutions at enterprise scale
- 2+ years experience in AV system programming (Crestron,QSYS)
- 2+ years experience designing scalable and reliable enterprise A/V solutions
- Experience with Microsoft Teams and Cloud Video Interop solutions
- Deep knowledge of Cisco usage and infrastructure
- Experience with audio DSP platforms
- Experience with creating A/V flow, wiring diagrams, and other engineering drawings
- Experience with room/desk booking solutions (Condeco, iOffice)
- Knowledge of scripting and programming languages
- Avixa certifications preferred
- Bachelors degree in computer-related field preferred or equivalent years of experience
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally to stakeholders and engineers
- Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships in support of delivering enterprise-wide solutions
- Ability to execute within a fast-paced agile process
- High attention to detail while balancing multiple projects
- Ability to lead the delivery of campus-wide or enterprise-wide hardware and software deployments
- Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
