Job Description
The Tax Associate will be an integral part of the global tax team, working on both operational and strategic levels. Responsibilities include preparing tax computations, returns, and compliance documents; assisting in group tax reporting; supporting tax and finance teams on tax-related matters; providing internal VAT support; liaising with external advisors; and staying updated on tax legislation. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, have excellent organizational and analytical skills, a strong attention to detail as well as the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
Must have:
- Prepare tax computations and compliance documents.
- Support the tax and finance team on VAT and tax related matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent certification.
- At least 1 year experience in a similar role.
Good to have:
- Experience of working with the iGaming industry is valuable.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As LeoVegas continues to grow and expand globally, we are looking for a talented team member to become an integral part of our global tax team. We are looking for a dedicated Tax Associate to join our growing team. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in tax accounting and a passion for helping businesses thrive, we want to hear from you. The Tax Associate will have the opportunity to work within the full spectrum of tax (including corporate and gaming tax as well as VAT) on both an operational and strategic level.
The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, have excellent organisational and analytical skills, a strong attention to detail as well as the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks. The Tax Associate will report to the Tax Manager located in Malta.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or completion of ACCA or equivalent certification
- Holds at least 1 year experience in a similar role in a consultancy firm such as Big4
- Knowledge of accounting principles is required
- Knowledge of Maltese corporate tax principles is required including the ability to prepare tax computations.
Nice to have skills:
- Experience of working with the iGaming industry is valuable.
