Job Description

This Tech Lead role at Google's gTech Ads focuses on building and managing technical foundations for delivering customer solutions. You'll collaborate with regional and global teams, establishing development best practices, designing technical infrastructure, and ensuring efficient and compliant solution development. Responsibilities include working on globally applicable projects, understanding team needs, building platforms for solution discovery and reuse, minimizing risks in solution deployments, and providing technical guidance to gTech Ads teams using Google's tech stack. The role involves partnering with stakeholders across gTech Ads and Google's advertising and publishing customers.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
6+ years web tech experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP)
6+ years coding experience (Java, C/C++, Python)
Experience in technical troubleshooting and partner management

Good to have:

Master's degree
6+ years experience with customer-side web and database technologies
6+ years cloud technologies experience
6+ years systems experience (Linux, Unix, Windows)
6+ years experience in investigative roles (BI, data analytics)
6+ years experience with Machine Learning

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience working with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience working with customer-side web technologies (e.g., HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, XML, TypeScript) and database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
6 years of experience with cloud technologies, such as architecting, developing, or maintaining cloud solutions in virtualized environments.
6 years of experience working with systems (e.g., Linux, Unix, Windows).
6 years of experience in an investigative role such as business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics.
6 years of experience using Machine Learning (ML) and building solutions.

Responsibilities

Work with gTech Regional and Enablement teams on globally applicable projects and initiatives. Build and manage the technical foundations for gTech Ads to deliver customer solutions.
Work with regional and global teams to understand their needs and establish development best practices.
Design and build technical infrastructure for the gTech Ads team to develop solutions efficiently and compliantly. Provide the platform for discovery and reuse of gTech Ads Solutions.
Support gTech Ads in minimizing risk and managing existing solution deployments by providing resource monitoring tools and applying compliance programs.
Provide technical coaching and guidance for gTech Ads teams in the use of Google internal and external tech stack for customer solutions.
