Scopely is looking for a Technical Artist to join The Looney Tunes team in Bangalore on a hybrid basis!

What You’ll Do
 
This role requires a blend of artistic and technical skills to build and integrate visual effects, optimize performance, and support the art and programming teams
  • Design and implement visual effects (VFX) for character animations, home screens, UI elements and battle backgrounds using Unity
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings, brainstorming, and technical sync-up meetings
  • Develop new features for existing technologies and improve the efficiency of the content creation pipeline
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve integration and performance issues in the game
  • Develop prefabs for VFX, collaborating with animation and 3D teams
  • Analyze and optimize game performance using Unity Profiler, with a focus on minimizing file size and improving compression
  • Work closely with departments such as programming and design to ensure the seamless integration of artistic elements and technical functionality
 
What We’re Looking For
 
  • 3+ years of experience as a technical artist
  • Proficiency in the Unity game engine, with experience in Particles, Unity UI and 3D rendering pipelines
  • Strong understanding of particle systems, optimization, profiling
  • Proficiency in Blender, Unity, Photoshop
  • Basic understanding of 3D concepts (meshes and UV mapping)
  • Basic knowledge of texture creation
  • Ability to build and integrate particle effects using custom shaders
  • Knowledge of GitHub for version control
  • Experience with mobile optimization and advanced profiling techniques
  • Experience with Houdini and Substance Designer is a plus
  • Familiarity with creating and optimizing particle effects for mobile platforms
  • Basic graphic design skills
