Zynga is looking for a Technical Artist to integrate art assets (prefabs, animations, VFX) into their games using Unity. You'll be responsible for rigging and skinning 3D and 2D assets, creating game environments, lighting, and optimizing assets. Proficiency in Maya, Unity, Photoshop, and C# is required. Experience with Spine rigging, VFX, Git, and Perforce is a plus.

Zynga is looking for a TECHNICAL ARTIST to join the team that brings to life one of many beloved games. The Technical Artist will be working with a team of Designers, UX, Concept Artists, Animators, Producers and Software Engineers to develop beautiful and optimal game content. The Technical Artist acts as liaison between engineering, art and all other disciplines, responsible for the planning, implementation, documentation and optimization of art setups to support our game’s animation and design needs. A key member who’s primary role is to support the team and the product and is expected to be proactive in their communication on a daily basis.

You are a contributor of ideas, overseer of pipelines, and collaborator across discipline lines providing expertise and seeking out potential issues before they become problems.

Responsibilities:

  • The Technical Artist’s primary duties will be integrating art assets (prefabs 2D and 3D) ,animations ,VFX, SFX etc in the game, using the Unity game engine.
  • Will be taking up the responsibility of rigging and skinning of 3D and 2D(sprite) assets.
  • Should be highly efficient in handling the unity prefabs, art assets, animations, animation controllers, VFX (2D&3D).
  • Should be proficient in creating and managing game environment, lighting , optimizations.
  • Should be great at creating tools in the pipeline.
  • Should have good understanding of shader writing and graphic pipeline.
  • The Technical artist will be working with Art team (Concept artists, 3D artists, animators) closely and then Developers ,UI/UX team, game designers to integrate all the game assets and bring them to action.
  • Ability to receive and digest feedback in constructive manner and demonstrates work estimation and tracking of the time.
  • Effective team collaborator, and who has good experience in game development.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in software like Maya, Unity, Photoshop, Texture packer, visual studio, spine.
  • Great working knowledge in VFX and optimizing the textures.
  • Clear understanding of cameras, lighting and shaders in Unity.
  • Proficient at scripting languages like C# or similar for relevant applications.
  • Ability to understand and master version control software like perforce and git.
  • Solid knowledge on Scripting, Spine Rigging, VFX is required .
    Experience with Git and version control software such as Perforce.
  • Ability to follow up/communicate with different departments like Design, UI/UX, Dev, QA team to assist and run the project smoothly.

Recommended Skills :·

  • 4+ year industry experience and knowledge on Unity engine game development.
  • A passion for games and social networking.
  • Unity animations and NGUI samples are encouraged.
