Job Description
This Technical Assistant role involves analyzing customer requirements, technical designs, and specifications to prepare detailed cost and time estimates for tooling projects. The position supports RFQ processes, prepares cost-effective process plans, and optimizes manufacturing processes across various tool room machines. It requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to align on design and manufacturing concepts, maintaining a database of historical costs, and identifying/mitigating manufacturing risks. The role also focuses on continuous improvement of estimation and planning methodologies.
Must Have:
- Analyze customer requirements, technical designs, and specifications for cost and time estimates.
- Support RFQ processes and customer proposals with accurate estimation data.
- Prepare detailed process plans meeting drawing requirements cost-effectively and without compromising quality.
- Define and optimize manufacturing processes across tool room machines for effective utilization and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with design and production teams for alignment on cost-effective concepts.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of historical costs, vendor quotations, and estimation templates.
- Identify manufacturing process risks and propose mitigation strategies for cost and technical feasibility.
- Continuously improve estimation and planning methodologies based on feedback and project outcomes.
