Technical Lead - Electro-Mechanical Test Bench Design
Thales India Engineering Competency Center in Bangalore is seeking a Technical Lead engineer role. In this role, you will be responsible for leading Test Bench architectural design, Test Bench software, Integration, perform product functional testing and perform product qualification tests for various defense applications and products like RADARs, Electronics Warfare systems and other Defense products to meet the customer requirements in term of schedule, cost and quality on your project.
Qualifications:
B.Tech in Electronics, computer science engineering or equivalent with 8 to 12 years of relevant experience. Higher qualifications of Post-graduation is desirable. Domain experience in RADARs, Electronics Warfare systems, Avionics and Defense systems design is desirable
Responsibilities:
- Technical responsible of developing Testbench / test means architecture, test software scripts, libraries, drivers and processing tools that verify UUT electrically, functionally and performance evaluation
- Test bench integration and validation, working closely with HW team
- Test validation and follow up with UUT in the lab including environmental test set-ups
- Collaborative work applying quality standards and internal processes
- Follow and derive functional and technical specifications and standards
- Preparation of the associated project documentation and reviews
Skills & experience:
- Must have 5+ years of experience in Python, C and C++ software development, NI Teststand, NI LabView.
- Must have experience of proposing optimal solutions using COTS hardware (FPGA, SoCs, RASPI-4, SBCs) and hands on interfacing processor systems with hardware including low-level drivers.
- Experience in testing and in test equipment for measurement and control, including bus and communications protocols
- Capable of understanding software project needs, implementing software specifications, validating software, support technical reviews and present results to internal and external customers
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Must have experience to ensure the reporting progress of the project along with KPI
- Must have experience to manage risks and opportunities
- Must be rigorous, organized, autonomous and proactive, and motivated by a position within a multidisciplinary team.
- Must have demonstrated leadership skills on complex topics.
- Must have experience of working with multi-disciplinary team (BL engineering team, External suppliers, external labs, Purchase team, ECC Engineering teams and manufacturing teams, …)
