As a Tech Lead, Engineering at Cyara, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating engineering efforts while also contributing directly to technical projects. You will guide a team of talented engineers, foster collaboration, and drive the successful execution of our product roadmap. You'll support engineers in their development and reviews. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions that exceed customer expectations. 

You will be responsible for:

    • Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate engineering efforts, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap and strategic goals. 
    • Technical Contribution: Actively contribute to technical projects, providing expertise and driving high-quality outcomes. 
    • Mentorship and Reviews: Support engineers in their development through mentorship and code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices. 
    • Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration and effective communication within the team and with other departments. 
    • Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations and business requirements. 
    • Agile Participation: Lead Agile processes, promoting iterative development and continuous improvement. 
    • Problem Solving and UX Delivery: Address challenging problems to deliver impactful UX solutions quickly, efficiently, and with high quality. 
    • Scalable Systems Architecture: Contribute to the evolution of systems architecture, ensuring scalability with the growing demands of the business. 
    • Collaborative Cross-Functional Work: Share knowledge and communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) across the organization to align front-end development with overall business objectives. 
    • Problem Identification and Resolution: Analyze, identify, and address problems or bugs to ensure a seamless and error-free user interface. 
    • While this position does not require participation in an official on-call roster, Engineering employees are expected to be available to assist with troubleshooting Severity 1 or Severity 2 production issues as they arise. If contacted, employees should be prepared to respond and provide support, leveraging their domain knowledge and skills to resolve critical incidents.

    • Advanced, wide-ranging experience using professional concepts and company objectives.  
    • Applies a deep understanding of the technology stack and development processes to improve overall efficiency and quality. 
    • Works on complex issues requiring detailed analysis and innovative problem-solving.  
    • Develops robust solutions that address both immediate and long-term technical challenges. 
    • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise, collaborates across teams, and facilitates knowledge sharing.  
    • Encourages a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 
    • Requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree.  
    • Demonstrates a strong technical foundation and the ability to lead technical projects in previous roles. 
    • Ability to mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews. 
    • Front-End 
    • Advanced programming skills in JavaScript and React, with a focus on front-end development. 
    • Proficiency in developing and maintaining React applications with modern stack (React + GraphQL). 
    • Experience with TypeScript, React lifecycle, and state management techniques. 
    • Familiarity with design systems (e.g., Storybook) and component libraries (e.g., Kendo UI). 
    • Good understanding of GraphQL and its use with React. 
    • Experience with front-end build tools like Webpack and packaging strategies. 

    • Back-End 
    • Advanced programming skills in C# and .NET framework, with a focus on backend systems. 
    • Proficiency in developing and maintaining microservices-based applications. 
    • Hands-on experience with cloud computing services (AWS or Azure) and basic infrastructure as code (IaC). 
    • Solid understanding of performance optimization, memory management, and multithreading. 
    • Experience with version control systems like Git and familiarity with CI/CD processes. 

    • Deployment 
    • Advanced skills in AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and other IaC tools. 
    • Experience with AWS services such as Fargate, Kubernetes, S3, RDS, Lambda, and Elastic Beanstalk. 
    • Proficiency in using CI/CD pipelines with tools like Buildkite, CircleCI, Jenkins, etc. 
    • Ability to design and implement scalable and secure cloud solutions. 
    • Familiarity with cloud cost management practices. 

    • Security 

    • Extensive knowledge of web security principles and best practices, with hands-on experience in advanced security implementations. 
    • Strong experience in designing and implementing security measures to protect against common and advanced vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, XSS attacks, and CSRF. 
    • Proficiency in optimizing code, queries, and server configurations to enhance performance and scalability. 

    • Capability to lead security projects, mentor engineers, and advocate for best practices in security and performance optimization across teams.
