Must have:
  • 2+ years in a client-facing Senior Consultant or Technical Lead role.
  • Experience delivering multi-Cloud Salesforce solutions.
  • Sound understanding of Apex /HTML/JavaScript/CSS.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Lightning Web Components and Aura.
  • Good understanding of integration/API/ESB development – Rest, Soap, MuleSoft.
  • Tertiary qualification in a computer science or information systems highly desirable but not essential.

What your role and typical day might look like

As the Salesforce Technical Lead with Merkle, you will play a key role within a blended cross-functional delivery team to support customers in implementing the latest innovations within Salesforce.  This could include requirements gathering, producing detailed solution designs, supporting and mentoring junior team members, and connecting designs with the broader enterprise application architecture.

Fundamentally, the role is about helping clients understand how to derive the most value out of the Salesforce platform, effectively integrate that into the broader ecosystem, and better leverage customers data to drive decision making and improve processes and experiences for their customers.

Responsibilities could include:

  • Working within a highly collaborative, cross-functional Merkle/customer blended team to design solutions that fit within the customer environment and support their strategic direction.
  • Producing detailed technical requirements and designs, and collaborating with the functional team and other project stakeholders to ensure high quality/high value solutions.
  • Working across the full SDLC to develop and deploy quality solutions, including leading or supporting dev ops
  • Providing leadership to the delivery team to ensure that the project aligns to Merkle standards for software quality and implementation best practices and methodologies
  • Ongoing learning, development and knowledge sharing with the wider team
  • Maintaining certifications and up to date with latest Salesforce/Cloud platform innovations
  • Assist with client development and presales activity as required

A bit about you:

  • At least 2 years as a client-facing Senior Consultant and/or Technical Lead role, delivering Salesforce solutions in a Consulting or Professional Services environment.
  • A proven track record delivering multi-Cloud Salesforce solutions including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Industry Cloud desirable.
  • Sound understanding and development experience using Apex /HTML/JavaScript/CSS. Lightning Web Components highly desirable, Aura also desirable.
  • Good understanding of integration/API/ESB development – Rest, Soap, MuleSoft.
  • A tertiary qualification in a computer science or information systems highly desirable but not essential. Salesforce certifications will be highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills to gather requirements, identify root cause problems, and communicate designs clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A natural collaborator, supporting different teams across the practice.
  • Experience in pre-sales
