Job Description
This is a 6-month full-time internship at Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg, focusing on New Product Introduction (NPI) for powertrain launches. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute launches, coordinate production line trials, manage launch activities, provide updates in program reviews, track project milestones, create reports, and perform project walks. The role requires exceptional teamwork and communication skills, serving as a key point of contact for NPI topics. Responsibilities include solving complex issues, setting goals, tracking deliverables, supporting pre-production builds and launches, and facilitating dynamic cross-functional projects to meet timelines. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cell and/or battery design, development, and/or implementation in a manufacturing setting, preferably in the automotive industry or on high-speed automated lines.

Internship assignment:
- Work collaboratively with fast-paced, cross-functional teams to solve complex issues, set goals, track deliverables, and report out.
- Coordinate and execute production line trials and critical validation builds.
- Manage cross-functional production launch activities, support pre-production build and launch activities.
- Provide updates in weekly program and executive reviews for project/program development and implementation status.
- Track project milestones including task duration and resource usage.
- Create reports showing critical path activities and schedules.
- Perform project walks with system owners.
- Currently working towards a BS, MS, or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrochemical/Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering or other related fields.
- PMP, PMI certificates or experience in project management is helpful.
- Experience working with cell and/or battery design, development and/or implementation of manufacturing projects. Preference in the automotive industry or high-speed automated lines.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate dynamic cross-functional projects with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and test to meet project timelines.
- Proficient at risk management and communication.
- Experience working in time critical and fast-paced product development.
- Strong process and continuous improvement mindset.
