The Technical Program Manager III at Google's Pixel Watch team will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from concept to launch. Responsibilities include defining the system development process, interfacing with vendors and engineering teams, managing schedules and milestones, conducting design reviews, and communicating with cross-functional partners. This role requires balancing schedule, cost, performance, and user experience, identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate will have experience in program management, consumer electronics, and managing cross-functional projects, along with knowledge of product lifecycle and electrical/mechanical system integrations.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with consumer electronics.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience shipping high volume/quality product.
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle, tools, processes, and operations planning.
  • Knowledge of electrical or mechanical system integrations (e.g., SoC, memories, display, power supply, camera, sensors, etc.).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define, drive, and own the overall system development process from concept to launch for new Google hardware products.
  • Interface between vendors and product engineering teams, setting and managing schedules and milestones, and balance schedule, cost, performance, and user experience trade-offs.
  • Drive system level design reviews with cross-functional teams and critical releases to meet system level schedules.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate key focus points and next steps with engineering, vendors, operations, quality, and management, improve and maintain processes that ensure team members have what they need to understand and execute on all objectives.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, facilitate conflict resolution, drive failure analysis and triage for issues, synthesize data into a clear story, and communicate to stakeholders and organizations at all levels.
