Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager III at Google's Pixel team, you'll leverage your technical expertise to lead intricate, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. Collaborating with stakeholders, you'll plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate effectively across teams. You'll need to translate stakeholder needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables, define project scopes, and execute project plans. You will also monitor key metrics, identify deviations, and define corrective actions. The role demands strong communication skills, enabling clear explanation of analyses to executives and technical trade-offs to engineers. Experience in embedded software development and managing cross-functional projects within the consumer electronics industry is essential.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years program management experience
  • Experience managing software/hardware engineering programs
  • Embedded software development experience
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define program goals
  • Prioritize program goals and deliverables
  • Develop and execute project plans

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience managing programs for software or hardware engineering teams.
  • Experience with embedded software development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics industry.
  • Experience with Android software development.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
  • Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders’ needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.
  • Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, and/or manage project plans for supported program(s).
  • Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.
  • Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals. Build, maintain and enhance business, operational, and management dashboards.
