Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager III at Google's Augmented Reality team, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects for AR glasses from inception to completion. Responsibilities include partnering with Product Management and Engineering to develop and execute programs, engaging with tech leads and engineers on daily activities and long-term development, managing interactions with external partners, and maintaining regular communication on program health to the broader team and leadership. You'll own program schedules, track dependencies, and manage deliverables throughout the lifecycle. The role requires strong technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration skills to deliver innovative AR solutions.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience

  • Hardware & software program experience

  • Stakeholder communication
Good to have:
  • Experience with program management tools (Smartsheets, TaskFlow)

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience working with both hardware and software programs (e.g., software and hardware interactions).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with program management tools like Smartsheets, TaskFlow, or other technical tools.
  • Experience writing scripts (e.g., App scripts, etc.).
  • Experience working with internal and external partners.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering team members to develop, own, and execute the Augmented Reality Glasses programs.
  • Engage with Tech Leads and Engineers on both long-term development work and day to day activities (e.g., identify blockers, dependencies, track progress, offer support, etc.).
  • Work with the program leads to drive the interactions with all external partners associated with the program.
  • Maintain periodic communication to broader team and leadership on the overall health of the program (e.g., updates, schedule, risks, mitigation plans, etc.).
  • Have complete ownership of the program's schedules and track dependencies and deliverables through its entire life cycle.
