Job Description
Extreme Networks is seeking a Technical Support Engineer (TSE) who will be a key member of the service organization. The primary responsibility is to ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent technical support and customer service skills. The TSE will be the first point of contact for customers, guiding and supporting them. Ideal candidates have NOC or TAC experience, strong customer engagement skills, and a desire to learn and grow technically. Deep knowledge of networking technologies is a plus. The role involves providing technical support for Extreme products, particularly wireless and NAC products, responding to service requests via phone, email, and web, managing service requests through investigation, troubleshooting, replication, and escalation, updating the knowledge base, and providing basic network configuration and product information. The role also emphasizes continuous learning, a results-oriented mindset, and teamwork.
Must have:
- Native Japanese communication skills (spoken and written)
- English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Deep knowledge and troubleshooting experience with IEEE802.11 to Wifi standards
- Deep knowledge and troubleshooting experience with NAC
- Knowledge and experience implementing 802.1x authentication SSIDs
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues and provide solutions with high customer satisfaction
- General knowledge of Ethernet, LAN/MAN/WAN networks
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP protocols
- Minimum 1 year of customer support experience in any industry
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux/UNIX
- Ability to solve problems using scientific methods
- Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to function effectively in ambiguous situations
- Strong research skills by investigating previous cases and solutions
- Excellent team player and ability to work independently
- Crisis management and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize things systematically
- Ability to multitask multiple critical issues simultaneously
- Self-motivated with a drive for excellence
Good to have:
- CCNA, CWNA technical certifications
- 1 year of experience in a call center or service center
- General knowledge of routing protocols like RIP, OSPF, BGP
- General knowledge of wireless networks and security protocols
- Knowledge of Windows servers (focus on Active Directory, IAS/NPS Radius, DHCP, DNS)
- Knowledge of virtual machines and virtualization technologies (VMware, Citrix, Red Hat, Microsoft)

**主な業務内容:**
* Extreme製品に関する技術サポートを提供（特に無線およびNAC製品に焦点）
* 外部および内部のお客様からのサービスリクエストを電話、メール、Web経由で対応
* 調査、問題解決、再現、エスカレーションを通じてサービスリクエストを管理
* ナレッジベースを更新
* 基本的なネットワーク設定や製品情報の提供
* 継続的な学習、結果指向のマインドを持ち、チームワークを推進
**必須の言語スキル:**
* 日本語の会話および文書作成能力（ネイティブレベル、JLPT N1相当）
* 英語での会話および文書作成能力（社内コミュニケーション用）

* IEEE802.11 to Wifiスタンダードに関する深い知識と、トラブルシューティングの知識、及び経験
* NAC(ネットワークアクセスコントロール)に関する深い知識と、トラブルシューティングの知識、及び経験
* 802.1x認証 SSIDに関する知識と実装の経験。
