Sandbox Interactive is the ambitious game development studio behind the award-winning game Albion Online. The game is the first true cross-platform MMO, and is playable on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android with more than 350.000 daily players and over 2 million monthly visitors on our website. We started as a small independent group of experienced gaming professionals in 2012, and now employ an international team of more than 100 people. Since 2020, Sandbox Interactive has been part of the Stillfront Group. Your Game

We are looking for a Technical UI Designer to join our team and help build highly responsive, visually polished user interfaces for desktop, mobile, and console platforms.
This is primarily a programming position, focused on UI functionality, integration, and interface logic within C# and Unity.
While this role involves collaboration with UI/UX designers and requires a solid understanding of user experience principles, the design aspect is secondary. Your main responsibility is to translate design concepts into clean, scalable, and performant code across multiple platforms.

• Demonstrate strong UI coding skills and a keen eye for design, seamlessly transitioning prototypes from concept to functional interfaces
• Take ownership of key UI feature implementations across desktop, mobile and console, ensuring a cohesive and engaging user experience
• Adapt and integrate existing designs and patterns into new UI elements
• Work closely with UI designers and artists to deliver a highly polished user experience
• Continuously evaluate and enhance existing UIs, improving visuals, usability, and overall player experience

Your Talent

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in UI/UX development within the gaming industry
• Strong proficiency in C#, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code
• Skilled in using prototyping and design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Hands-on experience implementing UIs in Unity or similar game engines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for effective team collaboration and presentations
• Familiarity with version control systems and modern agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• You have a deep enthusiasm for video games, especially MMORPGs
• Proficiency in German is an advantage
