Technical Writer

What you will do:

• Create and maintain technical documentation in English and Polish, including user manuals, installation guides, technical specifications, release notes, newsletters, and video tutorials, for systems and other products developed within the NOVOMATIC Group.

• Collaborate closely with project managers, UX designers, engineers, and testers to source reliable information for developing accurate and clear procedures.
• Provide UX feedback to improve product usability and simplify documentation. • Translate and proofread general and technical texts.

What we are looking for:

• Fluency in spoken and written English (B2-C1 level).
• Experience editing and proofreading texts in Polish and English.
• Proficiency with text editors and presentation tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
• Foundational knowledge of XML, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively acquire information from subject matter experts and other sources.
• Self-direction, accountability for individual projects, and initiative in seeking optimal solutions.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and patience.
• A degree in English or a technology-related field.

Bonus points:

• Experience creating technical documentation within the IT industry.
• Experience translating or writing technical texts.
• Experience with XML-based content management systems and image editing software.
• Familiarity with Oxygen XML Editor, Snagit, Camtasia, Jira, Confluence, DITA standards, and version control systems (Git, SVN).
