Job Description

As a key member of the core Test Manufacturing Engineering Team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining production electrical test and product programming solutions. Your role includes collaborating with the manufacturing development team on test software, hardware, and tooling, working with Quality, Operations, and Maintenance teams to improve test processes, and utilizing Statistical Analysis Methods to optimize performance. You will also be responsible for documenting the test process and continuously improving the test systems deployed on production. This role contributes to the development of advanced safety systems and data connectivity solutions, which are essential for sustainable mobility and accident prevention.
Must have:
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Good acknowledge in software development skills.
  • Good problem solving capability.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive work style.
  • Business fluent English.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, LVDS, Flex-Ray, Broad@Reach and flashing concepts of memory devices.

Position Summary

In this position, you would be a key member of the core Test Manufacturing Engineering Team, with responsibility for installing and maintain production electrical test and product programming solutions for the production product lines.

Your Role

  • Work together with the manufacturing development team on test software, hardware, and application specific tooling for assigned product programs
  • Work together with Quality, Operations and Maintenance teams to improve the cycle time, escapes and capability of test processes.
  • Work out with development team a suitable standard test equipment/configuration for the assigned task
  • Utilize Statistical Analysis Methods (6-Sigama, MSA, Cpk,…) to optimize performance of parametric electrical tests
  • Work out proper documentation of the assigned test process, respect the APTIV processes and procedures accordingly
  • Continuous improvement on the test systems deployed on production (hardware and software)

Your Background

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology, or similar
  • Good acknowledge in software development skills in one or more of the following software languages: National Instruments LabView,  NI LabWindows CVI, NI TestStand, C++, C
  • Preferred: Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, LVDS, Flex-Ray, Broad@Reach and flashing concepts of memory devices
  • Good problem solving capability
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive work style
  • Business fluent English
