Test Lab Support Engineer

The Tesla’s Reliability & Test Engineering Team is responsible for verifying and validating the thermal, electrical, and mechanical reliability of components and systems throughout our product line. Our team also supports design validation, field failure investigations and manufacturing change control. We are seeking a multi-faceted Test Lab Support Engineer to support our test infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing devices under test workflow, help expand and maintain test infrastructure and ensure test equipment uptime with proper maintenance plans.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for test equipment workflow and manage part logistics for testing
• Coordinate with test engineering teams to schedule and oversee the use of test equipment, including chambers, chillers, and custom test rigs
• Maintain and update the bill of materials for both current and legacy test benches
• Procure and manage test infrastructure components to minimize lab downtime
• Identify and troubleshoot test infrastructure issues, ensuring timely resolution
• Leverage external labs when necessary to meet tight program deadlines
• Provide recommendations to improve mechanical and electrical equipment and infrastructure
