What you will do:

Cineplex’s Theatre Managers are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional experience to each and every guest. Theatre Managers work to ensure that Company policies, procedures, and standards are all being followed across the venue. The ability to maintain and execute a clear business vision alongside cultivating positive morale is essential to this role.  

In this role, your responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Maintaining the seamless operation of all Amusement, Food and Beverage, Guest Service and Retail operations within the venue.  

  • Ensuring that the facility consistently reflects Company standards, and all relevant checklists and inspections are up to date as per both internal and external (regulatory bodies) requirements.  

  • Being responsible for executing Groups & Events within venue.  

  • Recruit, interview, train, and coach venue management, and plan for succession.  

  • Ensure fair and equitable discipline, in compliance with the Company’s Discipline policy and severity table, implementing appropriate action(s) for performance and behavioural management. 

  • Manage theatre budget, grow revenue, and initiate projects to drive the business forward and strengthen Cineplex’s reputation as Canada’s #1 premier film exhibition company.   

Qualifications:

  • You have experience in a similar environment.  

  • You can analyze and interpret the needs of customers and offer appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.  

  • You have demonstrated the ability to lead a team during high volume business periods in multiple departments.  

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities, attend to employee's development while continuing to meet financial targets and reporting responsibilities.  

  • You have strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.  

  • You are comfortable building and maintaining relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, employees, and guests.  

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.  

  • You have schedule flexibility to work extended hours as required.
