Job Description

The Title Social Manager at Netflix will oversee title-specific social marketing campaigns, developing integrated strategies and executing campaigns to maximize viewership. Responsibilities include generating positive conversations around titles, creating social marketing assets (editorials, talent shoots, bespoke content), developing innovative social stunts, collaborating with global social teams, and working with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in social and digital marketing, a deep understanding of social platforms, and a passion for entertainment. The role requires strong communication, data analysis, and collaboration skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment. The goal is to cultivate fandom and spark social conversations among a global audience, enhancing Netflix's social presence and increasing viewership.

The Opportunity 

The Social Marketing team at Netflix is constantly in tune with conversations among our consumers; we're not just listening, but also participating in and initiating engaging, humorous, and thrilling discussions with fans across various external platforms. Although we are part of the broader marketing organization, our primary role is to foster affection for both the brand and our titles by keeping Netflix members entertained even when they are not streaming.

We are hiring a Title Social Manager who possesses a strong background in social and digital marketing and a genuine passion for content and entertainment. 

As part of the social marketing team, will oversee title-specific social marketing campaigns, from developing an integrated strategy for each title to executing these campaigns, aiming to maximize viewership by sparking social conversation around our titles among a global audience. 


 

Key responsibilities:

  • Generate positive and impactful conversations around the title and cultivate a fandom for both the title and Netflix.

  • Develop a holistic social marketing strategy for the title and execute the entire campaign - planning, execution, and measurement - based on title prioritization. 

  • Lead the creation of the complete package of title social marketing assets, which includes social editorials, talent shoots, bespoke content and more.

  • Develop new and innovative social stunts, ranging from single content format to globally scaled campaigns, that will create impact and generate positive conversation among social audiences.

  • Work alongside the social channel manager to develop a cutting-edge social media campaign strategy, based on a comprehensive understanding of social platforms and audiences.

  • Lead export title social strategy for global audience  by collaborating with global social teams to enhance the presence of Korean titles within Netflix's social ecosystem.

  • Lead new campaign initiatives that can enhance the social title campaign impact.  

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Film and Series marketing, Publicity, and event teams, to develop a holistic campaign strategy.

  • Communicate with external stakeholders including showrunners, business partners, and agencies.

Qualifications:

  •  Has a minimum of 10+ years of experience in the social, digital marketing team in agencies, start-up and consumer brands preferably entertainment and content industries. 

  • Has a proven track record in social marketing, including upscale digital campaigns that successfully create meaningful conversations both online and offline.

  • Has a deep understanding of social platforms and experience in overall social marketing including community building, fan engaging campaign, influencer collaboration, social media platform collaboration (e.g. tiktok, ig, youtube, X etc), social assets creation and paid social campaigns.

  • A true content enthusiast with deep passion and knowledge about entertainment. You're a content superfan eager to ignite excitement among members worldwide!

  • Has an understanding of a comprehensive marketing strategy that encompasses all marketing communication functions, including PR, advertising, social, events, and more.

  • A team player capable of engaging and collaborating with internal teams at Netflix.

  • Has a data-driven ability to interpret insights and develop effective campaign strategies.

  • Strong communication skills are essential, along with experience in managing needs and requirements from multiple stakeholders.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced culture with a high tolerance for change and the ability to accomplish substantial amounts of work within tight timelines.

  • Respect and understanding of Netflix culture.

  • Skilled in collaborating agencies and coordinating workflows.

  • Fluency in English and Korean.
