The Tooling Engineer, Stamping will be responsible for determining the feasibility of proposed Model Y Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop modification plans for stamping dies, leading the full-cycle implementation of ECOs, managing multiple projects with competing priorities, and reducing die-related downtime. Responsibilities include updating 3D die designs, implementing DMRs to improve dimensional quality, developing methods to track system effectiveness, supporting die design and vendor buyoff, and ensuring world-class appearance requirements are met. The role requires strong analytical problem-solving skills, proficiency in CAD software (CATIA V5 preferred), and experience with large die design and CNC programming.
