What You'll Do

As a member of the UE Foundation Team, you will lead highly skilled engineers on an ongoing effort to improve our developer-facing toolset, champion code standards and quality, and improve iteration times . This is an exciting opportunity to make impactful changes that affect thousands of developers across the globe allowing them to develop products more efficiently.

In this role, you will

  • Lead a team of build and development tools engineers, and partner with them on goals setting and planning deliverables
  • Collaborate with software development teams to understand build requirements and implement efficient build processes
  • Manage development and take accountability for delivery of developer tools
  • Participate in active development, writing new features and supporting existing ones
  • Be accountable for the quality, development practice and delivery of new technology
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams and cross-functional groups within Epic Games, as well as with licensees to identify opportunities for future improvement
  • Be a vision holder who will “rally the troops” and champion impactful change; Foster an environment of growth and empowerment for the team, in an effort to maintain team health

What we're looking for

  • You will be highly proficient in C++ development and have an in-depth knowledge of modern C++ language and all its features
  • Proficiency in C# required
  • Strong understanding of build pipeline and automation tools
  • You will have Windows development experience; any familiarity with other operating systems would be advantageous
  • Effective communication and leadership skills required, as you will be leading a team of highly-skilled developers

This role is open to multiple locations in North America and Europe (excluding CA, NY, & WA).
