Job Description

As a Transport Operator (M/F) on a 6-month fixed-term contract at our Chaponnay (69) site, you will manage a team under the Transport Manager's responsibility. Your role involves planning and optimizing human and material resources, managing annual reviews, providing technical support to drivers, debriefing tours, and organizing tour plans. You will also monitor transport execution, handle customer issues, ensure delivery deadlines, manage transport after-sales service, report on activity, update delivery data, and manage the vehicle fleet. Additionally, you will work to reduce customer credit notes by increasing anomaly-free deliveries and sustainably decrease site shrinkage.
Must have:
  • Plan, adjust, and optimize human and material resources based on activity needs.
  • Manage annual reviews and maintain a good social climate.
  • Provide technical support to drivers for tour-related problems.
  • Debrief tours with driver teams.
  • Organize and prepare driver tour plans using optimization tools.
  • Monitor and control transport execution, inform clients of delivery issues, and provide solutions.
  • Guarantee respect for delivery deadlines.
  • Ensure transport after-sales service and liaise with commercial services on delivery follow-up.
  • Report on activity (indicators, incidents, consumption, infractions, tour filling).
  • Update delivery tracking data in dedicated tools.
  • Manage the vehicle fleet.
  • Reduce customer credit notes by increasing anomaly-free deliveries through inter-service animation.
  • Pilot and sustainably decrease site shrinkage.
  • Reliabilize transport subcontracting (providers and parcel taxis).
  • Possess 3 years of strong experience in driver management.

Job Description

Context:

As part of a 6-month fixed-term contract, we are recruiting a Transport Operator (M/F) for our Chaponnay (69) site.

Role:

Under the responsibility of the Transport Manager, you will manage a team and will be responsible for:

  • Planning, adjusting, and optimizing human and material resources according to activity needs.
  • Managing annual reviews and ensuring a good social climate.
  • Providing technical support to drivers regarding problems encountered during tours.
  • Debriefing tours with driver teams.
  • Organizing and preparing the driver tour plan using the tour optimization tool.
  • Monitoring and controlling transport execution, informing and responding to clients in case of delivery problems, and providing economic and rational solutions within the framework of customer satisfaction.
  • Guaranteeing respect for delivery deadlines.
  • Ensuring transport after-sales service in interface with the SAV department and exchanging with commercial services on delivery follow-up (field and sedentary).
  • Reporting on activity (management of indicators, incidents, consumption, infractions, tour filling, etc.).
  • Updating delivery tracking data in dedicated tools.
  • Managing the vehicle fleet.
  • Reducing the customer credit note rate by increasing the anomaly-free delivery rate through daily/weekly inter-service animation.
  • Steering and sustainably decreasing site shrinkage.
  • Reliabilizing transport subcontracting (providers and parcel taxis).

Qualifications

Profile:

You ideally have strong experience of 3 years in driver management.

You are curious, recognized for your good interpersonal skills, your rigor, your reactivity, and your ability to work in a team. Your decision-making capacity characterizes you even more.

Freight transport legislation and hygiene and safety rules for food products hold no secrets for you.

You hold a Category C driving license and have knowledge of computer tools.
