Gaijin is looking for a UI/UX Designer to join the War Thunder team. The responsibilities include designing UI, in-game HUD, and other visual content, creating assets from concept to final product, animating UI elements, and redesigning outdated interfaces. The ideal candidate should have experience with graphic design, color theory, design software like Figma, Illustrator, and Photoshop. They should also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, an understanding of user-friendly interfaces, an interest in new technologies, awareness of game and engine limitations, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Job Details

Gaijin develops AAA-grade online games for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms, including the popular MMO "War Thunder", "Enlisted" and other games.

The Gaijin team consists of hundreds of talented game developers from all over Europe and is constantly growing. 

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to join our War Thunder team. 

Your responsibilities:

  • Designing UI, in-game HUD, and other supplementary visual content;
  • Creating assets based on specific art styles from initial concept to final product. Assets may range from full-screen layouts, iconography, backgrounds, and card illustrations to widgets and buttons;
  • Animating UI elements;
  • Redesigning outdated interfaces.

Our candidate should have:

  • Experience with graphic design, color theory, and design software such as Figma, Illustrator, and Photoshop;
  • Understanding of how to design functional, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Interest in new technologies and staying up to date with design trends, with a willingness to apply new knowledge in practice;
  • Awareness of game and engine limitations;
  • Ability to conceptualize, present, and implement ideas under tight deadlines;
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team;
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
