Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to craft engaging, user-centered digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. This role involves translating user research and business requirements into intuitive, aesthetically pleasing interfaces that enhance user satisfaction and operational efficiency. The UI/UX Designer will collaborate closely with product teams, developers, and stakeholders to deliver designs that align with organizational goals while staying current with industry trends. Your contributions will directly influence how users engage with our solutions, supporting the organization’s commitment to delivering exceptional digital experiences.
Software Requirements
Required Skills:
- Expertise in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, or similar
- Proficiency with visual design software including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (levels sufficient to collaborate effectively with developers)
- Familiarity with user research and usability testing tools and techniques
- Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and user flows
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with animation and interaction design tools (e.g., Principle, After Effects)
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Familiarity with front-end code for iterating designs or collaborating with developers on implementation
Overall Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product managers, developers, and stakeholders—to gather requirements and translate them into compelling UI/UX designs
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and user interviews to inform design iterations
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual assets that align with user needs and brand standards
- Ensure designs are consistent, accessible, and optimized for various devices including desktop, tablet, and mobile
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and incorporate innovative design practices
- Review and provide feedback on development to ensure implementation accuracy
- Support development teams by creating detailed design specifications and documentation
- Maintain a user-centric design approach, prioritizing usability, aesthetics, and performance

- Essential: Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch
- Preferred: InVision, Axure RP
Visual Design & Creativity:
- Essential: Strong portfolio exhibiting UI/UX work demonstrating clarity, aesthetics, and innovative solutions
- Preferred: Motion graphics, animation skills
Front-End Technologies:
- Level: Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to facilitate collaboration
User Research & Testing:
- Skills in conducting usability testing, interviews, and analyzing user feedback
Accessibility & Inclusive Design:
- Adherence to WCAG standards, inclusive practices
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio of previous work
- Proven experience in designing for web and mobile platforms
- Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Experience working within Agile methodologies and collaborating in cross-functional teams
- Alternative pathways: demonstrated freelance or academic projects, certifications or courses in UX/UI design
Day-to-Day Activities
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings and sprint planning
- Engage with stakeholders to understand project goals and user needs
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual mockups for new features or products
- Conduct user research and gather feedback during design iterations
- Collaborate with developers for smooth implementation and design fidelity
- Review project progress and adjust designs as needed
- Document design decisions, user flows, and style guides
- Keep abreast of current design trends, tools, and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Arts, Information Technology, or related fields
- Relevant certifications or courses in UI/UX design are a plus
- A strong, diverse portfolio demonstrating design skills and process
- Experience with remote collaboration tools and agile workflows
