Job Summary:
Synechron is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to craft intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling digital experiences. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, translate business requirements into innovative design solutions, and ensure a seamless user journey across platforms. This role plays a critical part in enhancing customer satisfaction, driving engagement, and supporting the organization’s digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, user-centric thinking, and technical understanding to deliver impactful designs aligned with business goals.

Software Requirements:

  • Required:
    • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
    • Experience with prototyping tools and wireframing, such as InVision or Marvel
    • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) for designing responsive interfaces
  • Preferred:
    • Front-end development skills (React, Angular, or similar)
    • Experience with user research, A/B testing tools, or analytics platforms

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to gather design requirements and translate them into engaging UI/UX solutions
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and visual designs that enhance usability and visual appeal
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs
  • Create detailed design documentation and ensure consistency across digital channels and platforms
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools to continually enhance design quality
  • Facilitate workshops or presentations to communicate design concepts and rationale effectively
  • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and prototypes
  • Advocate for user-centric design principles and accessibility standards throughout projects

Technical Skills (By Category):

  • Design and Prototyping Tools:
    • Essential: Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, InVision
    • Preferred: Marvel, Axure RP
  • Front-End Technologies:
    • Optional but advantageous: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular (to better collaborate with development teams)
  • Design Principles & Frameworks:
    • User-centered design, accessibility standards (WCAG), responsive design, mobile-first principles
  • Research & Testing Tools:
    • A/B testing platforms, heatmaps, user feedback tools (Preference is for familiarity, not required)
  • Collaboration & Project Management:
    • JIRA, Confluence, Slack, Teams (or similar collaboration tools)

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI/UX design for digital products
  • Proven track record designing interfaces for web, mobile, or cross-platform applications
  • Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Industry experience in financial services, fintech, or enterprise solutions is a plus but not mandatory
  • Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions and process excellence

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, user research, and usability testing to inform designs
  • Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and style guides based on project requirements
  • Collaborate daily with product managers, developers, and QA teams to refine designs and ensure flawless implementation
  • Gather user feedback and perform iterative improvements to enhance usability and aesthetics
  • Participate in sprint planning, design review sessions, and project demos
  • Document design specifications, guidelines, and user journey maps for reference
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain innovative design standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Design, or related field; Master’s preferred
  • Certification in UX/UI design (e.g., Nielsen Norman Group, Human Factors, or similar) is a plus
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality designs in enterprise or client-facing environments

  • Strong creative vision paired with analytical thinking to solve complex user challenges
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating design ideas clearly and persuasively
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects

  • Adaptability to evolving technologies, user expectations, and project scopes
  • Time management skills to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards
