what you'll do :

  • Autonomously design, plan, and execute user tests of varying scope and complexity.
  • Contribute to the entire user test cycle, including recruitment, test moderation, note-taking, and data analysis.
  • Lead needs gathering meetings with members of production to translate their needs into research objectives.
  • Advise and challenge stakeholders to clarify and re-center their needs; follow-up with stakeholders on action items.
  • Manage the analysis of multiple data sources (e.g., quantitative, and qualitative) to provide timely and relevant insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Produce high quality deliverables that leverage expert data storytelling techniques.
  • Tailor insights, deliverables, and presentations to each audience/stakeholder.
  • Act as a mentor to junior user researchers; collaborate within Pixel and Ubisoft.
  • Be a point person for other user researchers; provide guidance, ensure best practices are followed, and follow-up on test-related tasks.
  • Be an advocate for User Research; carry influence on projects/productions

What you'll bring:

  • An advanced degree (e.g., Master’s) in Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Ergonomics, Social Science, Consumer Research, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of industry experience in User Research, with an established record of accomplishment of designing and executing a variety of user tests.
  • Expert knowledge of User Research methods and best practices.
  • You play video games and have knowledge of the video game industry.
  • Autonomous, resourceful, adaptable, and able to work in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
  • Great interpersonal skills and empathy; an effective communicator and active listener.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and French.
  • You’re a team player and enjoy collaborating with others.
  • You’re curious, proactive, and think critically.
