Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
  • Experience in a variety of design tools (e.g., Figma).
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles.
  • Ability to understand and communicate abstract, design concepts clearly and persuasively.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and specifications following a user-centered process to communicate product goals and design solutions.
  • Develop interaction patterns, define framework components, and apply visual styles consistent with design systems and the Google/Customer brand.
  • Collaborate with product management, customers, innovation team, engineering, and user research to define, test, and launch features that maximize end user, developer, and business value and impact.
  • Take input, requirements, and feedback from multiple stakeholders across different cross-functional organizations, and participate in regular design reviews.
