Job Description

As the Value Stream Head, SimCorp One, you will lead the SimCorp One Value Stream, which aims to build a standard Simcorp one solution to reduce bespoke configuration work. Your responsibilities include designing and building the organization, ensuring maximum value delivery, defining the strategic vision, identifying areas for improvement, managing resources, and mitigating risks. You will report to the Chief Operations Officer and be a key member of the Operations organization's Senior Leadership Team. You will need to manage a team and deliver outcomes on time and within budget to improve efficiency and reduce onboarding duration and effort.
Must have:
  • 10+ years of client service experience with enterprise software.
  • Experience in managing executive-level relationships, internally and globally.
  • Experience leading large, globally distributed teams.
  • Experience in enhancing and transforming services.
  • Ability to represent value prop at customer events, summits and sales calls.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT FOR US

As a global leader in our space, SimCorp is on a journey to transform from an enterprise software company into a technology-enabled services business, while sustaining our track record of double-digit highly profitable growth. To further support and drive this journey we are transitioning to a horizontal delivery model, aligned to client outcomes.

We are now recruiting for a Value Stream Head to manage the individual Value Streams that will deliver to our SimCorp One clients. This Value Stream will run in parallel to our Business Service Value Stream, covering all the areas outside the scope of our Business Services Solution. A key focus of the SimCorp One Value Stream will be to build the standard Simcorp one solution, thereby reducing bespoke configuration work needed for any individual client.

Our SimCorp One Value Stream is comprised of several individual Value Streams that collectively deliver the outcomes needed to our SimCorp One clients. The individual Value Streams will be comprised of all the resources, skills and capabilities required to plan, code/configure, build, test, release, deploy, operate and monitor our solutions.

As Value Stream Head, SimCorp One, you will be an essential member of the Operations organization’s Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Launch the SimCorp One Value Stream including designing and building the organization, identification of needed value streams key roles and leading the overall organization
  • Ensure that the Value Stream delivers maximum value to its internal and external customers while maintaining operational efficiency. Establish and optimize workflows, processes, and governance models, in conjunction with the Value Management Office to ensure seamless execution
  • Define and drive the strategic vision for the Value Stream, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
  • Identify and address inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement within the assigned Value Stream to enhance overall performance and efficiency.
  • Plan, execute, and manage Value Stream, ensuring they align with business objectives and deliver desired outcomes
  • Effectively engage, manage, and influence key stakeholders, managing expectations, communicating progress, ensuring progress and addressing concerns
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and departments to ensure alignment and reach shared goals
  • Identify, implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to the Value Stream. Identify trends, and report on performance to stakeholders
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the Value Stream, identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization
  • Manage resources (people, budget, time) effectively to ensure outcomes are delivered on time and within budget and ultimately to reduce onboarding duration and effort, and to create a more efficient Run operation
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact the Value Stream's performance or project delivery.

WHAT WE VALUE

  • 10+ years of experience delivering services to clients who consume mission critical, enterprise software
  • Significant experience of managing key, executive level relationships internally, and within a global client base
  • Experience of leading large, globally distributed teams, and of delegating and empowering managers within your organization
  • Experience in enhancing and transforming services delivered and the service delivery model, with an emphasis on implementing and operating horizontal, DevOps aligned delivery models
  • Ability to represent the value prop of service offerings at customer events, summits and in individual sales calls
  • A willingness to work in a new area where there is no clear roadmap, and you can expect to have to learn by experimenting and by adjusting course when necessary
  • Leadership in defining and executing against a strategy for a large function
  • The ability to build high growth teams
  • Change tolerance and willingness to make big operating model decisions to the organization, to meet changing client needs and market opportunities
  • Established experience in collaborating with Product Development, Operations, Professional Services and Commercial teams
  • Solid understanding of the technology industry and the fundamentals of a SaaS business
  • Proficient analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with ability to be practically engaged and focus on the details without losing sight of the bigger picture, especially within optimization and organizational design
  • Skilled in process understanding and an optimization mindset
  • Highly developed research, writing, listening, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to mobilize stakeholders and form trusting relationships in a broad organizational context
  • Great collaborative skills, highly motivated colleague who works well with others and is result-oriented.
