Job Summary: As a VFX artist you will be responsible for creating and integrating visual effects
into various forms of media, enhancing the overall visual quality and storytelling.
You will work closely with directors, producers, and other members of the production team to achieve the
desired visual effects for a project.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Effects Creation: Design, create, and manipulate visual effects using software
tools such as Adobe After Effects, Nuke, Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4D, Houdini or
specialized VFX software.
Compositing: Combine various visual elements (live-action footage,
computer-generated imagery, 2D/3D assets) to create seamless and realistic visual
effects.
Motion Tracking: Track the movement of objects and characters in live-action footage
to ensure accurate integration of VFX elements.
Special Effects: Create effects such as explosions, fire, smoke, water simulations, and
other natural or supernatural phenomena.
Matte Painting: Create detailed backgrounds and environments that may not exist in
reality.
Rotoscoping: Isolate and extract elements from live-action footage for compositing
purposes.
Color Correction and Grading: Adjust the color and lighting of VFX elements to match
the overall look and feel of the project.
Quality Control: Ensure the quality, realism, and consistency of visual effects
throughout the project.
Collaboration: Work closely with directors, producers, and other team members to
understand their vision and provide creative input.
Deadline Management: Complete VFX work within the project's timeline and budget
constraints.
Continual Learning: Stay updated with the latest VFX techniques, tools, and software
to enhance skills and creativity.
Requirements
Minimum experience 2+ years.
Proficiency in VFX like Houdini, After Effects, Maya & Nuke Software and tools.
Strong understanding of visual storytelling and artistic principles.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a team-oriented environment.
A portfolio demonstrating previous VFX work is often required.
