Description

We are in search of a VFX Artist to join our team in Redmond, Washington. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the gaming industry. As a VFX Artist, you will be responsible for creating and implementing visual effects to enhance the gaming experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate particle and atmospheric effects for high-quality game content.
  • Identify and implement efficient VFX workflows with Engine and Tech Art teams.
  • Create particle effects using proprietary systems.
  • Author procedural content and texture maps for VFX systems like clouds and weather.
  • Use node-based systems to enhance particle visuals.
  • Place VFX systems into content packages using car and environment authoring tools.
  • Ensure VFX systems meet performance budgets.
  • Collaborate with Art Directors to maintain photorealistic visual style.


Requirements

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Graphic Arts, Art, or related field.
  • Experience in VFX authoring for AAA titles.
  • Strong art direction and visual enhancement skills.
  • Proficiency in major 3D content creation packages, Houdini preferred.
  • Knowledge of next-generation content creation techniques.
  • Ability to craft high-fidelity VFX within performance constraints.
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
