As our VFX Artist, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality visual effects that enhance gameplay and immerse players in the Ready or Not world. You'll collaborate with artists, designers, and programmers to bring your visions to life, ensuring that every effect contributes to the overall atmosphere and gameplay experience. Your responsibilities will include designing and creating visually striking effects, collaborating with the art and design teams, implementing VFX in the game engine, optimizing performance, participating in brainstorming sessions, iterating on feedback, and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
Must have:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in real-time Visual Effects
  • Proficient in industry-standard software like Unreal Engine, Unity
  • Strong artistic skills with keen eye for detail, color, and composition
  • Solid understanding of particle systems, shaders, and lighting techniques
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment, communicating effectively with cross-functional teams
Good to have:
  • Experience in Houdini, Embergen or similar software
  • Shipped at least 1 AAA or equivalent game
  • Strong Tactical shooter interest

This is a fully remote, full-time contractor position for individuals residing in European time zones.


We're VOID Interactive, the kickass team behind the best-selling FPS game, Ready or Not. We're made up of some seriously talented individuals who love games and creating awesome content together. We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Associate Producer to join us remotely and help us elevate Ready or Not to new heights. Our goal is strong: to establish Ready or Not as the quintessential FPS of our time.


As our VFX Artist, you will be instrumental in crafting high-quality visual effects that enhance gameplay and immerse players in the world of Ready or Not. You’ll collaborate with artists, designers, and programmers to bring your visions to life, ensuring that every effect contributes to the overall atmosphere and gameplay experience.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Designing and creating visually striking effects, including explosions, smoke, fire, and other dynamic elements that enhance the game’s realism and excitement.
  • Collaborating with the art and design teams to understand the game’s vision and ensure effects align with gameplay mechanics and aesthetics.
  • Implementing VFX in the game engine, optimising performance while maintaining visual fidelity.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions to explore innovative ideas and techniques for VFX that elevate the player experience.
  • Iterating on feedback from team members and play testers to refine and improve the quality of visual effects.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and new tools to continually enhance your skill set and the team’s output.


What you'll bring to the team:
