VFX Supervisor

Job Summary:

The VFX Supervisor will oversee the creative and technical execution of High quality International visual effects across multiple projects for PhantomFX & Tippett studios, ensuring alignment with the director's vision and maintaining the highest quality standards.This role involves collaborating with Directors, vendors, and internal teams to deliver visually compelling content that pushes the boundaries of storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the visual effects strategy from pre-production through post-production, ensuring that all VFX elements align with the creative vision of the project.
  

• Manage the VFX pipeline, including all artists involved, to ensure efficient workflows and high-quality outputs.
  

• Work closely with directors, producers, and other department heads to determine the VFX requirements for each shot and sequence.
  

• Be present during filming to guide the capture of elements required for VFX integration, ensuring that shots are suitable for post-production enhancements.
  

• Identify and implement new software, workflows, and pipeline opportunities to advance the studio's VFX capabilities.
  

• Collaborate with VFX producers to bid for work, set schedules, and manage budgets effectively.
  

• Oversee the quality of all VFX work produced, ensuring it meets the project's creative and technical standards.
  

• Work closely with VFX Producers on show planning and financial reporting to management and resource teams
  

• Work across many offices world wide, with clear and approachable direction to staff globally.
  

• Potential for some on set work and related travel.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a VFX Supervisor with a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality visual effects work, Must be based out of Toronto location.
  

• In-depth knowledge of VFX production processes, including pre-visualization, 3D animation, compositing, and color grading.
  

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team of artists and technicians.
  

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with directors, producers, and other stakeholders.
  

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
