Job Description

Tesla's Reliability & Test Engineering Team seeks a Vibration Test & Data Analysis Engineer in Tilburg, Netherlands. Responsibilities include performing vibration testing on vehicle sub-systems using electrodynamic shaker tables, developing and implementing test programs, designing test fixtures in CATIA, conducting failure analysis, collaborating with test teams on data analysis using MATLAB/Python, and working with external labs. The ideal candidate possesses a BS/MS in mechanical, automotive, or mechatronics engineering and strong vibration fundamentals, experience with instrumentation and data logging, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Tesla’s Reliability & Test Engineering Team is responsible for validating the thermal, electrical, and mechanical reliability of components and systems throughout our product line.

Our team also supports field failure investigations and manufacturing change control. We are looking for a Vibration Test & Data Analysis Engineer to support our Electro dynamic shaker table testing in our Test laboratory in Tilburg, Netherlands.

What You’ll Do

Perform vibration testing on various vehicle sub-systems on electrodynamic shaker tables
Develop and implement test programs and validation timelines for electric vehicle powertrain units or subcomponents by cooperating with cross functional teams
Design test fixtures in CATIA for mounting sub-systems on electrodynamic and other shaker tables
Conduct part inspections, root cause and report failures, general maintenance
Collaborate with test teams to script and analyze test profiles and test result data and complete testing on time
Work with external labs to facilitate vibration and component testing on various sub-systems
Maintain a clean and organized work environment

What You’ll Bring

BS and/or MS degree in mechanical, automotive or mechatronics engineering, or equivalent experience
Strong mechanical engineering and vibration fundamentals
Experience with instrumentation, data logging and 3D CAD software for fixture design
Data processing and Analysis using MATLAB, Python etc.
Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
