Team Introduction Our team designs and optimizes the next-generation end-to-end video system (for video production, processing, delivery, and consumption) to improve the quality of experience (QoE) for our billions of users. We are looking for strong video algorithm engineers from all areas of video understanding, video processing, video coding, video streaming, and video quality assessment etc., who have a dedication to technical excellence and a passion to build large-scale and high-performing video platforms and services. We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates: 1. May 22, 2023 2. June 12, 2023 3. July 17, 2023 4. Responsibilities: --Design and implement video processing algorithms, including but not limited to: super-resolution, frame interpolation, HDR, sampling, pre- and post-coding processing etc.

--MS degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent fields. --Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general-purpose programming languages including but not limited to: C/C++, Python, etc. --Strong knowledge and solid experience in one of the following areas: video processing , computer vision, video coding. --Strong knowledge of deep neural networks, familiar with frameworks such as pytorch and tensorflow. --Collaborative mindset, with solid written and verbal communication skills. --Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment. Preferred Qualifications: --Strong academic background, publications in video processing and coding, computer vision. --Experience in open-source multimedia projects (x264, x265, and FFMPEG, etc.). --Experience in video-related applications, such as short video streaming, video transcoding, live streaming, etc. --Experience in algorithm optimization on CPU, GPU, and mobile platform, etc. ByteDance is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
