Job Description

As a Video Editor in the Versioning / Adaptation department, you will handle day-to-day adaptation work for international markets. This role requires strong Premiere Pro and After Effects skills, along with an excellent understanding of international broadcast standards. The primary challenge involves fitting commercials into specific durations, standards, and legal requirements while preserving the creative and marketing intent.
Must Have:
  • Edit and re-edit commercials according to storyboards/briefs to meet required duration and maintain story/message.
  • Incorporate artworks, graphics, and renders following strict file management structures.
  • Build Broadcast clocks according to delivery specifications.
  • Lay sound mix and measure audio meters to ensure compliance with delivery standards.
  • Add legal lines using correct templates and durations for various markets.
  • Change product packs and motion graphic elements in After Effects.
  • Ensure all broadcast material is 100% compliant with legal and technical standards for the target market.

What does the Hybrid Editor do in Hogarth?

As a Video Editor with very good After Effects skills in our Versioning / Adaptation department, you will be attending to day-to-day adaptation work with a primary master to deliver across the international markets. This will require strong Premiere Pro and After Effects skills and an excellent understanding of international broadcast standards. The daily challenge will be fitting a commercial into a duration, standard and legal requirement and making sure the creative and marketing intent is intact.

Responsibilities:

  • Editing, Re-Editing according to the story boards and/or briefs to arrive at the required duration of the commercial while keeping the essential story/message intact.
  • Incorporate various artworks, graphics and renders got from various other departments strictly following the given file management structure.
  • Building Broadcast clocks according to delivery specs
  • Laying sound mix and measuring the audio meter to ensure it fits the delivery standard
  • Adding legal lines in their right templates and duration for various markets.
  • Changing product packs and motion graphic elements in After Effects
  • Ensuring all broadcast material is 100% compliant for target market in legal and technical standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong Adobe Premiere and After Effects
  • Strong Editing and Motion Graphics skills.
  • Strong understanding of Standards, Frame Rates, Aspect Ratios and Audio Specs.
  • 3-5 years of experience working on commercials for large brands delivering to international markets.
  • A good understanding of current Asian, American, UK and European broadcast requirements.
  • Great attention to detail to identify quality, size and colour mismatches on the go.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment which demands varied set of rules to be followed across multiple clients and markets.
